Holistic Counselling.

For many of us, there are times when life feels difficult to make sense of. We can find ourselves feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or unsure of what we need. Sometimes we know that something needs to change, without knowing where to begin. Holistic Counselling provides a space to slow down, explore what is happening beneath the surface, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.

A holistic approach recognises that we are not made up of separate parts. Our thoughts, emotions, body, nervous system, relationships, environment, experiences and sense of self are all connected and can influence the way we feel and move through life. Counselling isn’t about telling you who you should be or expecting you to work everything out on your own. It is about working alongside you to explore what is happening, make sense of your experiences, and develop greater understanding, awareness and practical ways of moving forward.

Sessions are guided by your individual needs, pace, interests and capacity.

There is no expectation to have everything figured out before you come. You can bring whatever feels important to you, and we can take the time to explore it together.

Working Together

Sessions may include reflective conversation, gentle exploration, mindfulness, breathwork, body awareness, yoga-informed practices, energy work or other holistic approaches. Sometimes the most valuable part of a session is having somewhere to slow down and be heard. The way we work can change from session to session, depending on what you bring and what feels right for you at the time. I’ll work alongside you to help you explore what is happening, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and find approaches that feel supportive and meaningful for you.

A Holistic Approach

For me, holistic wellbeing is about recognising the relationship between all the different parts of our lives. Our emotional wellbeing doesn’t exist separately from our body, our relationships, our environment, our experiences or the way we live each day. Sometimes, understanding one part of ourselves can help us understand another. My approach is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming, with space for both evidence-informed counselling and the holistic practices that can support a deeper connection with yourself.
