Psychosocial Recovery Coaching.
For many people living with psychosocial disability, healing and growth involve rebuilding safety within themselves, reconnecting with their identity, learning how to navigate overwhelm, and creating a life that feels sustainable and meaningful—not just manageable.
Psychosocial Recovery Coaching is an NDIS Capacity Building support that works alongside people living with psychosocial disability to strengthen capacity, increase independence, build meaningful supports, and work towards recovery in a way that reflects their individual goals, values and circumstances.
Recovery Coaching isn’t about directing your recovery or telling you what you should do. It’s about working together to better understand the challenges you’re experiencing, recognising your existing strengths, and building practical strategies that support your wellbeing over time.
What Recovery Coaching May Support With
Recovery Coaching can include support with:
- Emotional overwhelm, burnout, shutdown, and nervous system dysregulation
- Building structure, routine, and sustainable daily living supports
- Strengthening self-understanding, confidence, and emotional awareness
- Goal setting and creating realistic steps towards change
- Navigating relationships, boundaries, and communication challenges
- Connecting with appropriate supports and services
- Developing coping strategies and recovery tools that work for you
- Reducing isolation and building meaningful connection
- Support around motivation, executive functioning, and capacity
- Creating a greater sense of stability, direction and empowerment in day-to-day life
- Neurodivergent relational coaching and trauma-informed recovery support
Sessions are guided by your individual needs, pace, values and capacity.
There is no expectation to mask, push beyond your limits, or fit into a rigid model of recovery.
Working Together
Sessions may include reflective conversation, practical planning, capacity building, emotional support, service navigation, skill development, or simply creating the space to pause, reflect and reconnect with what matters most to you.
Support can be provided through:
- Telehealth (phone or video)
- In-person sessions where appropriate
- Collaborative support alongside other members of your support team where appropriate
A note about Support Coordination
Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and Support Coordination are different NDIS supports. While I can work collaboratively with your Support Coordinator and other members of your care team, I do not provide Support Coordination services.
Funding
Psychosocial Recovery Coaching is funded through NDIS Capacity Building supports for eligible participants who are self-managed or plan-managed.
Services are provided in accordance with current NDIS guidelines and pricing arrangements.
Who I Support
Every person’s experience is unique, regardless of diagnosis.
While diagnoses can help us understand aspects of our experiences, they don’t define who we are or determine what recovery will look like. Two people living with the same diagnosis may have completely different strengths, challenges, goals and support needs. I work with people from diverse backgrounds, identities and life experiences, recognising that everyone brings their own story, values and way of understanding the world. Support is always tailored to the individual rather than the diagnosis.
